Billiards Supplies Tips and Info.

I just found myself playing pool - billiards in the summer time, more than I did in the winter. I said I was going to slow down the pool playing a little and take some time off. Now I find myself playing more leagues than ever and my APA Masters team just one the city championship on Saturday.

This means I am headed for Las Vegas in August where we will play in the APA National Billiards Tournament.

I will be posting on the blog from time to time about how we do and so on. Our BCA nine ball league is in full swing and our team is just a couple of games out of first place and we are battleing hard.

The BCA Nationals 8 Ball Tournament is over.

I have been back home for over a week now. The tournament went OK. We were missing one of our best players and our team fell 1 match short of the money.

I played in a couple of mini tournaments between the team matches to loosen up and get in stroke. I finished 2nd in one of them, being beaten by one game from a player out of the Philippines.

We had a good time and played several matches and all is well.

I watched a few matches in the pro event and Ralph Soquet played an almost perfect game against the Lion. Dennis Ocollo then turned around an beat Ralph for the championship.

Diamond Jim’s APA (American Pool Players Association) Masters team took first place in the National qualifier pool tournament the week end of June 7th and 8th 2008. Our team won $3,000.00 in cash and an entry into the Las Vegas Masters tournament  August 18th 2008.

The match was tight and it came down to the last ball. Mike played our last match and managed to pocket the final nine ball barely missing the cue ball scratch on the last game. This final shot made us the Champions of this Billiards tournament and set us up with a pile of cash and secured our entry into the Vegas pool tournament.
